Shadows - new feature of LandCraft terrain engine. Also i have question. Do you interested in animated terrains? We can create standalone version, which make animations for landscapes like this and save result into JPG sequence.

Just finished with Batch our PARKLAB project - LandCraft. This is Voxel landscape generator in Flash 8. Using Perlin Noise for Heightmap generation and some Gradients for Terrain paint. You can draw you own terrain using 'custom paint' tools and tweak height using color curves panel. Sun light and direction also adjustable. Dont wait, go and create you land! ))) Generate link to you terrain and send it to you friends.

Anything is possible Islands, Martian landscapes and even cream cakes )

Собрали на пару с Бачей генерилку ландшафтов на 8 флеше. В 6 дней не уложились, но ниче )))

Можно колбасить какие угодно ландшафты через карты высот, рисовать градиенты раскраски или юзать уже готовые и кидать друзьям знакомым ссылки на свои творения.

Делать можно что угодно - от классических островков, до марсисанских пейзажей и пирогов с кремом

Мелкомягкие выпустили прикольный скринсейвер, имитирующий так называемый BSOD (синий экран смерти), который в своем время видел каждый ))) Теперь у нас есть возможность хорошо пошутить над друзьями, установив им эту программу )Microsoft release very funny screensaver - BSOD ScreenSaver. Yourminis is the latest entry to the web-based widget desktop space currently lead by Netvibes, Pageflakes, and Protopage. Unlike its competitors which are all AJAX-based, yourminis is built on Flash and this has its own share of advantages all together. UPD: Check this video from Alex Bard for more info about power of yourminis. They have browser extentions, and after installing you will have youminis desktop at ANY time over page you looking now without going to youminis.com site. Amazing! I really love this idea.

UPD: Alex Bard прислал ссылку на видео о возможностях yourminis. А возможности оказались нехилые. Особенно после установки extention для Firefox. Теперь мы имеем гаджеты поверх ЛЮБОЙ страницы в любое время. Причем гаджеты могут чекать страницу на предмет наличия RSS и другой инфы. Поставил себе. буду баловаться

p.s. Кстати, какой адекватный перевод у слова 'widget'?
