Wow! I think its dead already. But look on this update! Many nice features for developer. I love Director, and use it a lot in the past. I hope Adobe will support it more in future.

Hehe. We all know what new Director 11 must be released very soon. I cant wait. I really do not create something in Director for long time ;( But when Director 3D was released in 2001 i have a lots of fun with it. So i found my old experiments with sources and put them online. Some of them uses Havok. Some of them use particles I even have multiplayer game in Shockwave, which still work! )))) LOL. I hope you will enjoy browsing my old stuff Keep it mind, this is 2001 year. This was my first steps in Shockwave, so dont laught to loud.

There is lots of info at Adobe site about new version of Director 11. They remove Havok and replace it with AGEIA PhysX. Unicode support, better text rendering and other nice features. BUT if i read it right, it will not support Flash files with AS3 inside. I hope i just read it wrong. Lets wait for release and check. Also download and play this 3D game, created by one of betatesters. Looks smooth for me.

Great news for all Lingo developers. Adobe planning release next version of Director at the end of this year. There is not too much info, but check this link with notes from MAX 2007. Scroll down to 'Director 11 Sneak Preview ' & 'Meet the Development Team: Director 11'

Flash 9 Player support
integration with Adobe products
full unicode support
new bitmap filters (like in Flash CS3)

New 3D Max 9 do not have W3D exporter. There is lots of talks about this on DIR3D-L list, does this mean what 3D Shockwave is dead? Probably, will see Darrel Plant post very nice article at his blog about way, how 3D can appear inside next version of Flash Player. As we can see there is nothing hard to do this. Now we have BitmapData, Matrices, Geometry. Why not 3D?
